When it comes to long-term food storage, many preppers prefer canned food. It’s cheap, versatile, easy to store and there are many kinds to choose from.

You can use diced tomatoes to make salsa with some peppers.

If you don’t have enough space to grow green beans in a home garden, the next best thing to do is stock up on canned green beans.
Canned roast beef is an ideal emergency entree because you only need to heat it before serving.
You can serve canned roast beef with hardtack, a type of survival bread.
Spam is another versatile canned meat.
Tuna in oil is a great alternative if you prefer something lighter than Spam or beef stew.
