Mass starvation is coming to the United Kingdom – along with people freezing inside their unheated homes – unless the government comes up with a solution, according to London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
In a tweet, Khan said that he has “seen nothing like this before,” referring specifically to runaway food price inflation, soaring energy costs, supply shortages and other supply chain problems.
“We’re facing a winter where for millions it won’t be about choosing between heating or eating but tragically being able to afford neither. This can’t happen,” he added, noting that the British government “needs to step in so that people can meet their basic needs.”
Khan shared data from the Auxilione energy consultancy group suggesting that U.K. energy bills could increase by 80 percent in October – hence the planned protests and energy bill strike planned for the same time.
On average, Brits can expect to pay upwards of $4,292 for energy – this despite a cap set by energy industry regulator Ofgem back in October 2021 for less than half that amount. (Related: The U.K.’s food crisis and supply chain woes began at least a year ago.)
What, exactly, Khan wants the British government to do to stop this remains unknown since officials have already decided to stop doing business with Russia, which supplies energy and energy-derived goods such as crop fertilizer.
The U.K. is basically planning to starve out and freeze to death its citizenry while beating its chest against Russia – a fight that Great Britain will lose, unless the goal is to massively depopulate itself.
In that case, the U.K. is well on its way to becoming a “green” paradise with no more energy, no more food and eventually no more people.
In a speech he made while visiting a warehouse that distributes supplies to food banks throughout London, Khan said many of the same things that he wrote on Twitter. He also said his administration is “committed” to ensuring that struggling Londoners have everything they need to survive this coming dark winter.
“Ministers must act now to help prevent this cost of living crisis from becoming a national disaster,” he said, adding that there is “no sign on this rise in costs slowing down” any time soon.
Even though the U.K. is not directly reliant upon Russia for fuel, soaring prices on the global energy market are hitting the country almost just as hard, seeing as how it maintains no energy independence.
“It looks like widespread poverty and want are about to strike a ‘first world’ country,” wrote a commenter at RT about what is soon to come for Great Britain.
“The problem is the government caused this crisis in the first place,” added another. “Now they want to make things worse by counterfeiting money.”
Someone else referred to the U.K. as a “parasite state,” and suggested it is only natural for said parasite state to “eat itself alive.”
Many others pointed out that these are self-inflicted wounds, as the U.K. government – like many other Western governments – created the very problems that they are now claiming to want to fix.
“Remember how arrogant and full of themselves the collective West was about sanctioning Russia?” asked another. “Are they still gloating?”
One person pointed out that the seeds for this collapse were clearly planted during the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) plandemic with lockdowns, mask mandates and other oppressive measures that screwed up the economy and killed off a large percentage of small-scale private enterprise.
“The only way out of this mess is to open Nord Stream 2, get gas prices back under control, and STOP the failed ‘sanctions’ game which is destroying Europe and not even hurting Putin,” said another.
